It was going to be tough with the backckbone of our side missing, let alone Flipper. A drastic reshuffle was needed.

We totally dominated the first half and for the first time in ages we actually played as a passing team with everyone firing on all cylinders, moving off the ball and supporting each other. On 10 minutes Pen crossed from the left wing and Marc connected first time at the near post to put us ahead.

Marc continued to threaten and had a weak shot cleared off the line and then over compensated with his next effort, blasting over from close range for what should have been his and our second. But he didn't have to wait long - Paul H went up for a challenge with their keeper and the ball fell kindly for Marc who slammed in the half volley 12 yards out through a crowd of players.

Pen made it 3 as he broke down the left, brushed aside the Stablers defence and chipped the keeper confidently from 20 yards.

All Stablers could do in return was force a few tame corners and misfire in front of goal when it really counted.

We started the second half where we had left off. Uday twice came close, John was denied at the near post and then just went wide with a rare header. Simon got our fourth on the hour with a firm far post header following a wonderful corner from John taken from the high side of the pitch.

Pen delivered the perfect through ball for Marc to create our fifth - Marc did the rest by rounding the keeper and slotting home with ease.

Paul H popped up for our 6th literally seconds later and slammed in a loose ball from about 3 yards.

However, Stablers did improve and brought Andy into the game with a nice save from a blast from the young bloke up front. More pressure from Stablers was absorbed by some great collective defending but we couldn't deal with a fine far post header as Stablers pulled one back with 10 minutes left.

The rout was complete as Pen rounded the keeper and tapped in amid claims of off-side. Mikey gave the goal and that was about it.
